On April 14, 2017, in the Main Building of the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg and on April 19, 2017 at the Library for Natural Sciences in Moscow, a seminar was held on the effective use of Springer Nature resources in everyday work. A report and a master class on SpringerNature products were made by Daria Iovcheva, Head of Sales Department of 100K20 and Customer Relations.

During the presentation, the main trends in the development of the company's products and work on the SpringerLink platform were formulated.

The aim of the seminar was to acquaint readers and employees of the NLR and BEN RAS with the methods of optimal use of electronic resources on the SpringerLink platform. During the seminar, the platform’s interface, information search tools, and orientation in the structure were discussed.

Information was also provided on the two largest services - Springer Nano and Adis. The first offers the most relevant and structured information about nanotechnologies obtained from journals with a high impact factor and patents. Adis is a database of scientific information about medications, clinical trials, and cases of adverse reactions.

A particularly significant event of the seminar was the news that Springer Nature provides test access to books to all RFBR grant recipients by June 30, 2017.

Both seminars confirmed their effectiveness with a large number of questions, the relevance of information and interest from the audience, which proves the need for further such events.
